Paul Walker co-star Vin Diesel says ''heaven has gained a new angel'' in tribute to Fast & Furious star

Fast & Furious actor Vin Diesel has payed tribute to his late co-star Paul Walker, who died in a car crash on Saturday afternoon in Santa Clarita, Los Angeles.

The 46-year-old was stunned when he heard the news that his friend and colleague had died.

He took to Twitter to share his condolences, stating that he was "speechless".

He wrote: "Brother, I will miss you very much.

"Heaven has gained a new angel. Rest in peace xxx."


Same Damn Time rapper Ludacris also paid tribute to the star via social media.

He posted a picture of Fast & Furious cast captioned 'Fast Family', tweeting that Walker's presence will be sorely misse.

He wrote: "Your humble spirit was felt from the start, wherever you blessed your presence you always left a mark, we were like brothers & our birthdays are only 1 day apart, now You will forever hold a place in all of our hearts @paulwalker legacy will live on forever. R.I.P."
